Hi
I built up a intek 40ci race engine it runs awesome until it pulled the rocker arm mount out of the head , whats the best way to prevent this happening again ??

I tryed that and it ripped the whole mount out of the head.

Make sure you don't get coil bind on your valve springs, can happen just adding a so called Rev kit. Also if running a valve stem seal, make sure the retainer doesn't bind on that either, really don't need one anyway.   No need to run more valve spring pressure than necessary, as it's only robbing power if it isn't needed to control the valvetrain.

What are are running for cam, what is rocker ratio,what are valve springs,is this exhaust or intake valve this happened to etc.etc.
You need to give more info to get an answer...

Cheetah cam, ec roller rockers 1.5 ratio, ec dual valve springs, running no valve steam seals and have had the guides machined down , It happened to the exhaust valve side.

Sounds like exhaust reatainer is kissing top of guide when warmed up .Try just the stock rocker on the exhaust and see what happens I'll bet your problem will go away

I ran my intek for a long time with EC dual springs and the same cam as you.   Never had a issue with either the stock rockers or rollers.   

I'd double check the clearance on the retainer to the guide.  Also check the clearance on the spring at full lift as well.

Or you just got a bad head.  Remember these are made by Briggs and Stratton for lawn mowing use...........

install 1/4" steel underneath the cyl head & run long bolt through tree & secure with nut it will end that problem.
