Safe way

I'm looking for a safe way to mount my seat . I'm getting the tsc padded pan seat .my old seat had one bolt that held it on .this is a older craftsman mower I'm needing some ideas  .should I just bolt it to the fenders .

Yes, and use carriage bolts.

With lock nuts!  Always, always use lock nuts.

Always use lock nuts on EVERYTHING.
