Not sure if this is the right place to ask for gas tank help

I got a 70 something huffy mower that I am making my first racing mower with. Having issues mounting a gas tank and figured you guys could help. Can't leave it in the stock position on the motor because of steering shaft clearance. Can't mount in front of seat because of exhaust so close to it. Can't run in the back of me because I don't have a battery for a fuel pump. Don't want it on hood because of aesthetic reasons. My first ever build so I'm not too knowledgeable on this kind of stuff yet. If I figure out how to post pictures I will. Thanks in advance.

Most of us run fuel pumps that operate from the pulse in the motor. If you get one if those would that solve your problem?

3.) The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

Built several of the 70's Huffys. I put the tank in the stock location just ahead of the steering, close but works, if you want a pic send email to tdaniels@rocktenn.com
