« on: June 11, 2015, 01:26:46 pm »
I'm going to make my own steering rod that goes to from my steering shaft to the front axle.and some rod s for my master cylinder. I ordered  9/16 0.328 aluminum tubing from mcmaster carr . Do I have to drill and this tubing or can I just tap it . And if I do have to drill it what size bit do I need and does someone have a part number for a mcmaster carr tap that I need. I no that I have to get a right and left handed tap

Go find a buddy with a lathe, put the tube in the jaws, put a center in the tailstock and let the point go into the small hole at the outer end of the tap. Gives perfect centered holes.
