Flaring fenders.
« on: April 16, 2015, 12:39:41 am »
What's the big trick to rolling and flaring fenders. I really don't like the look of just cutting out the fender for clearance, and don't want to start hacking into my fenders and welding on extensions. One must do what must be done, but just looking for some tricks and suggestions from those with experience.

I made on cut on each corner, ( where the fender changes angle) and beat the fenders with a rubber mallet till a got them flared out enough. Then added small pieces to to fill the gaps where I cut. Welded then sanded smooth. Takes some time, but when your done your done!

I have seen a lot worse than what you think you did. If someone can see a flaw when you are funning 30 mph,
then good on them, is all I can say.

The main thing is, the fender is done, shiny, and ready to bolt on a fun rig.

Should add, the dogs name is Sid. He don't much care what's going n , as long as he's got a partner.
