Tom, The Huffy-Caprice (JC Penny Pencraft) I just started on width is roughtly 14-1/2"-ish outside rail to outside rail.
The "C" Channel is in pretty bad shape due to rust but I plan to use it so no future issues arise with width again.
I have some 1" square(.120" wall 1/8) and 1x2x.065(1/16) lengths. I was thinking of using the 1x2, it sticks out of the bottom of the C Channel about 3/16" or so, will this be an issue other than weight?

I meet all other criteria above.

Joey-

if you are using the stock frame then it has to be stock width as the factory intended. What I did on Ashleys is put a piece of 1" x 1/8"wall square tubing inside the bottom of the channel and tacked it in place. You will need to squeeze the frame together a little to get good welds. It works great, always has.

10-4...I have some 1x2 x.065" This wall, that I was thinking of using only because there is soo much rust damage. it will stick out the bottom just a pinch. I have the 1x1x1/8(.120")too, they both weigh about the same. Will use the stock Huffy Width, I'll get pics just for confirmation.
Many Thanks!

Usually get 8 to 12 machines.

I should of added we are the PA MiniPro racers. We are in no way affiliated with arma.
There were lots of racers in PA at one time but kinda got pushed out.
Our group runs at a local kart track. 1/8th mile high banked oval.
We really have tons of fun and I would recommend this way to any group that has a track available.
We are also starting a kart class with PA MiniPro engine package rules. Get an older kart come out and have fun.
