Formula for calculating overall ratio is; trans pulley diameter / engine pulley diameter x trans ratio x axle sprocket tooth count / trans sprocket tooth count = overall ratio

I might be wrong here but, I believe that seat will be questioned at Tech.
It was brought up as a result of a build clinic a while back (Darrin Polzin I believe)

That seat does not have a solid/one piece back/pan but rather a bar that runs from left to right to support the driver's back.

The issue was that this seat does not protect the driver well enough from a rear impact, Bar v.s. Pan

Not nit-picking just trying to help you avoid tech line problems, this may have changed since then.

Darrin can you explain this better?

Mower looks good!!  Ivine2001, what do you mean about the seat, it has a pan for the bottom and just a tube that comes around for your back?

I can't tell exactly by the pictures but if it's the one I am thinking it is, yes that's the deal.

The seat has a metal pan on the bottom but only a tube/bar going around the back. You can't see it of course because the foam is molded around it.

On most seats you can clearly see the one piece metal pan/back, this one looks a lot like every other seat out there but, if you were to take a screwdriver I would bet you could push right it through the back of the seat (if you didn't hit the tube/bar that is).

I know that someone got gigged on that one at tech and was made to get another seat.

The mower came without a seat , it was replaced with an universal lawnmower seat which was purchased at fleet farm .Anyhow , I don't recall anything in the rules about what type of seat should be used but will have to check into that if decided to run sanctioned (uslmra or wilmra,etc..) but in the meantime it is legal to run here with our local chapter.

Like I said I am not sure if it's that big a deal, it may even be that the thinking on this issue has changed also but I know it was an issue in the past.

Even though it is not addressed anywhere in the USLMRA rule book it has been an issue.

If you are not affiliated with WILMRA as your local chapter what LC are you affiliated with?
