New to pretty much all of this.

Okay well... not new to mechanics, not new to forums... just new to small engine modification.

I'm mostly wrapped up in the off-road world. I have a Jeep Cherokee (XJ - for those that care) that I screw around with, but I have an old Murray mower that I had to trash the deck on and I wanted to do something with it other than junk it. If I can build a racing mower, sweet. If I can't, I want to AT LEAST build a decent go-kart frame and modify the motor for more power. I'm a family man w/ 3 kids and I think it'd be pretty cool to get them involved in small projects. When I was growing up, my dad worked a lot and I never got the chance to get into the gearhead world until my mid-20s. So I really want to start my kids in on it early because they've got the bug for sure.

B&S 14.5hp I/C QUIET OHV

Hopefully I can find some helpful info.

Thanks,
Justin

- Oh by the way, my username is pronounced like BASE-licks.... I play the bass, I do NOT lick fish... unless they're fried up real nice!!!
