no mod to the piston. but you need to bore the small end of the rod to fit the pin. no mod to the head and also can use stock thin head gasket

Ok what size u thibk it is to bore out that hole?and the thin head gasket u mean the metal tin looking one? My work is a honda dealer so i can get the gx 200 pistons no prob but do i need to look up a gx from a certain yr or anything or are they all the same?

i dont have the parts number anymore but do a research with my user name i posted them a few year ago.. its a gx200 tier3 if i remember right .. the stock vanguard pin size is 17mm and you need to bore to 18mm.

I ran a combination of a 30 ci block, 35 crank, stock length arc rods and aftermarket flattop gx200 pistons a few years ago. Great little horsepower engine. like Gui said, you have to bore the small end of the rod to fit the new wristpins. Won a indoor race with it after I blew my bigger engine in practice laps. The key is the aftermarket flat top pistons. True honda pistons are dished.
