New Senior Design Team
« on: September 18, 2014, 09:42:08 am »
Hey,

I am an engineering student who is working on a senior design project. Honestly, I will probably not be a long term contributor to this forum but I am interested in racing mowers being a long time SAE Baja Collegiate team member. I was wondering if I could get some feedback about the drivetrain I want to run for my project.

My senior design project consists of a multi-person pedal powered vehicle. I am seriously considering running a peerless transaxle but I have a few questions about set up and reliability. I tried contacting Peerless directly but I got no response. I figured the best people to ask would be the people that build/use/and abuse these transaxles...

Thanks,
Stephen

Yes, the peerless 820 is what I was thinking of...

Anyway, I am going to be running less speed and acceleration on it but it will be on a significantly heavier vehicle. I am going to start a thread on it here in a minute to ask all of the questions I have...

Made a thread about it. Any input is very well appreciated. Again we are in the brain storm part of the design process so any input will be considered.
