arc rod gx390

the rod bolts on arc rod are 5/16 12 point.  can you use different bolts with different heads?

If they are made for that type application. I had some rods once that used allen bolts.

Easier to just buy a 12 point 5/16" socket and keep the ARC fasteners.

thanks guys that's what I did. now having problems keeping it running. arc rod, and flywheel, chromolly push rods, heavier springs. we have a stock flywheel key, where should the flywheel be set at? it will only run at 1/4 to half throttle with the choke half on. stock 390 carb with no fuel pump, any suggestions? thanks bob

More rpms means more fuel stock carb will need rejetting
