« on: June 23, 2014, 07:29:37 pm »
Got a chain that runs from vertical to horizontal through a lagb i keep drioping the chain before i had a stationary idler then changed to spring loaded neither have worked the chain falls off. Its got plenty of tension. Also its mounted in the left side of tractor i dont know if it would make a different with a chain like a belt?

You running GOOD chain or cheap chain. Cheap chain stretches so bad and fast it will never work long. Spring idler hang that up go back to a solid set up. Its either chaeap chain (streching) or alignment or something is moving. I been running mine like this for several years now with no problems.

tsc will never work. Stretches to fast too much. Gonna have to use a quality 35 chain under there. RLV extreme or something along those lines. The tsc 40 will do fine on rear.

i was able to get the mower to move abit but i never it some good throttle the rear chain to rear axle seemed to be snapping or whipping it but its not skipping teeth just sounds terrable. Also do you use chain rollers for idlers or riding mower idlers?
