I dont really know where to put this topic so coffee shop seems good. But where do you guys get your foot throttles from? Or should I go with the dirty Harry style of hand throttle?

You will get mixed opinions on this. I never tried a foot throttle but you could use one from an old kart. I've watched at several races and from my observation I noticed guys with a hand throttle seem to have better control. Unless you have something to hold you r foot teady in place you will be on and off the throttle.

Yea that's what made me think about this. It seems like there would be a awful lot of bouncing and with a foot throttle could have less control than a hand throttle. And another thing I thought of wouldn't you lean to the left more? Seems like a pedal would just be a little awkward. But I don't know I'm just thinking out loud I'm just askin for opinions for future knowledge

Yes you will do a lot of leaning to the left.

Ran my first mower with the foot a couple of weeks ago and loved it. Ran finger for 6 years prior and had no issues there either so what ever works for you. The foot was on an FXT so my body was much more stable, might be the deal, on a prepared chassis yes you will do a lot more leaning and body adjusting.

I ran foot throttles on all my machines over the last 10 years no problems with bounce if you stay wide open? only let off for the cornors until the last few years, I put another lever on the steering wheel to work with the foot brake, then pretty much never let off the foot throttle. Just apply brake to slow a little for the cornor, keeps everything loaded and the engine came back almost instantly.

But I am sure you will get more thoughts, it's all in what you get used to.
