Was able to work on the mower today, I 're-did the rear end to achieve 4 1/4" height all the way around. Can someone clarify the fender - seat rule with USLMRA, from my understanding the bottom of the seat pan cannot go lower than the top of the fenders. Does that apply if the fenders are seperate pieces?
the frame:

What Doc said...you must be looking at old rules. The seat fender rules underwent major changes this year.

Made my brake pedal today, out of 1/2 drill rod laying around my shop, a tube that holds two bearings and a square piece of metal. Of course there was a torch and some bending action.

I know this is the clutch side but I haven't cut the slot for it on the other side and I wanted to see how it looked

I'm going to wait till I have the master cylinder mounted before I weld a tab on . Maybe I'll build the clutch pedal this weekend, guys be honest will this work, is it strong enough? Will this same kind of set up work for the clutch?

What you have there will work just fine for the brake. If it were me I would leave that pedal there just like you have it and use that one for the brake. You will be using your right foot against a foot hold to keep you in place so using the brake on the right is difficult (some have done it successfully though). The one for the clutch will have to go thru the frame so you can hook the clutch linkage to it and the clutch itself has to be on the right side of the mower (twist type clutch). Look at George's 07 build thread and you will see what I mean. Also it's a good idea to get your seat where it's going to be so you can make sure the pedals are in a comfortable place before you completely mount them.

That will be more than enough!
I can't help but hold a place in my heart for a guy that just had a 1/2 drill rod laying around his shop......

Haven't uploaded pictures in a while. But I buttoned up some loose ends tonight finished the clutch, steering (kinda) and finished attaching the seat. The last picture is me cleaning out the garage and my toys in the driveway.

Quick question on your wheel and tire choice. About to jump into my own build. What are you using for wheels and tires. Are the tires you run easy to get a hold of locally? Trying to get an idea if I can use wheels that I can get tires for easy. Let me know. Thanks

Bmi carts for rims or Ec carbs, looks like 6/7.25 fronts (vanK) 8/8 ec rims back. 13/6.5.6 turf masters front , 16/7.5/8 masters back , buy pretty much anywhere for tires.
