I got my first mower today,  a Rally Roper. I removed the blades today. Any advice or tips are welcomed.

That will make a nice racer. I love the old school styles and that sheetmetal looks to be in great shape.

I know a guy who races one as a super stock, looks great (as far as super stocks go).  He even made the light lenses green, and they work.

I'm scheduled to get a bunch of parts tomorrow...I'm not going to lie I'm excited. Anyone from the Lone Star Assoc. know anyone running this type of frame/mower? I guess I'm just super paranoid that I'm going to put a lot of work into it and figure out later that i cant use this mower or that I overlooked a rule. Will post pictures as soon as i have something to show.

Here is the front end installed, frame reinforced with 1" square tubing. I cut a hole to install the tranny plate, I didn't want to weld it in without the rear axle in place. Parts for the rear end show up tomorrow. Will update tomorrow.

Thank you , hopefully if someone that's familiar with USLMRA rules sees something illegal they will say something.

All is well at this stage as far as rules go, so long as you stay as close to factory wheelbase as possible.

Thanks Jeff, I mounted the front end in the exact same spot as the original. I plan on mounting the rear axle as soon as I get the bearings today.

That tubing looks to be illegal :P

Chassis looks good so far and looks like you did your homework.
