I like to use the old metal tractor seats that came on Ruggs, Huffys, and old farm tractors.  Im on the smaller side and feel these seats keep me in place and form to me better

Depends on what tracks your going to race on. On ruff tracks your going to want some padding or you won't be walking very well after the races!!

I'm partial to the $13 seat at the tractor supply store.  Mainly because I can cut it and make a bolster out of existing material, but especially, well, 13 bucks!

I like the Older Deere seats that are found on the 180 series machines  Low back, metal pan and comfortable. They are easy to pull the foam off of, cut the seat and weld whatever you want to it, cut the foam to match then put it all back together.
