Wheel questions...
« on: February 05, 2007, 11:41:37 am »
Is there a limitation on what kind of rims and tires you can use on a racer? Reason I ask is that I went to harbor Freight this weekend and they have trailer wheels and tires that look like they might fit my hubs. They would be a lot more skinny than the stock tires I see on most of these racers. These looked pretty beefy and they were inexpensive- $20 with tires.

U) Tires must be lawn tractor tires. No Snow Hog, tiller, A.T.V, commercial mower or performance compound or competition kart tires.

...12) Wheels must be the same size on each axle, of any origin, made of metal. No dual or tandem wheels.

In USLMRA tires are to be of lawnmower origin (F/X allows kart tires) but the rims can be of any (trailer, golf cart, kart, mower) origin.
