Springfield Missouri Indoor Winternationals Ready To Roll

Springfield Mo – It’s the event that packs the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds Indoor Raceway every year. It’s the event that helps all of the area racers and race fans get through a long cold winter. It’s the Indoor Winter Nationals and the 2014 edition is one you won’t want to miss in Springfield Missouri this March 7th & 8th.
Not only does the 2014 Indoor Winter Nationals feature the most affordable entry fees in the area but also the deepest payback. Stock Heavy Karts will race for $400 to win on Saturday night with payback through the top 10. Stock Appearing will also be highlighted with $200 to win on Saturday night with payback through the top 10 as well.   
Friday Night Registration opens at 2PM and closes at 6PM while practice begins at 5PM and Racing at 7:00PM
Sat Night Registration opens at 11AM and closes at 1PM while practice is slated to begin at 2PM. Qualifying races begin around 4PM with the features to start at 7:00.Complete shows both nights for all classes.

The Indoor Winter Nationals features not only Karts but also Lawn Mower Racing, Quads, Flat Track Motorcycles and Pit Bikes competing each night.

This season the classes in Wing Karts are Jr Blue Plate (7-9), Jr Outlaw (8-15), 125/250CC (12years or older) and the popular 500CC Outlaw (12 years or older). The money class is the 500 CC Outlaws while the others compete in Trophy events.

Kart classes feature the Jr Amateur (5-10 Years old), Jr I Blue Plate (8-12 years) Jr II Red Plate (12-15), Stock Light (14 or older), Stock Heavy (14 or older) Run What You Brung and Stock Appearing. Money classes are Stock Light, Stock Heavy, Run What You Brung, and Stock Appearing.

Clone Classes this season include Jr Amateur (5-10), Jr I Purple Plate (8-12), Jr II Blue Plate (12-15), Box Stock Sportsman (14 or older), AKRA Light (14 or older) and AKRA Heavy (14 or older). The money classes are Clone Light and Clone Heavy.

The Stock Appearing class is also open to Flatheads, Clone and Predator motors. Lawn Mowers always excite the crowd and feature Mod-X/CP, Mod/SP and Super Sportsman. Quads have become a very popular entry class in the Winter Nationals and this season feature Jr 50CC, Jr 90CC Stock Mod, Amateur, Sport Class and Pro with Pro competing for the money. Flat Track Motorcycles bring out the talent in this class as Amateur and Pro Class battle it out with the Pro Class competing for the money. Last season Pit bikes saw a wide range of age brackets competing as Jr Pit Bikes(12 and Under) 10" 12" 50CC Stock/Mod, Big Wheel 14" rear Wheel and the always exciting Pro Class battle with the Pro Class going for the money event.

Entry Fees for the Trophy Classes this season are $15 for Pre-entries per night and $20 the night of the event each night while Money Classes are $20 for Pre-Entries and $25 the night of the event per night. Pit passes are $20 per person per night. Mowers, Pit Bikes and Quads entry fee is only $15 per night.

The Racing Arena located at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds features an Indoor Heated Arena with Indoor Heated Pits down on the lower level of the Arena and provides an outstanding surface for the Winter Nationals.

This will be the first year I will miss this race.
