has anyone toyed with the idea of plating the cylinders like motorcycles or snowmobiles have  wondering would this be worth it or just too expensive for the durability

I have heard of some using cryogenics thats spelled wrong, I mean freezing the internal parts. Don't know if it helps anything nad its expensive. I know a few that had teflon coatings applied to the piston skirts. Briggs has a few pistons with simpilar coatings. It helps reduce cylinder scuffing during breaking in. Many have tried different things. But whos to say if it really gives a big enough advantage to warrant doing it. Try it and see and let us know what it does for you.

plating the cylinders with what? Like chrome plating them?
Oh come on man. You got no lady fingers, fuzz buttles, snicker bombs, church burners, finger blasters, gut busters, zippity do das, or crap flappers?
No, I don't.
You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

I dont know what metal it is or the process involved but its called  nikasil
the way i understand it the cyclinder walls dont hardly wear
i had a snowmobile with 15000 miles on it without a rebuild or rering that had this plating
also i dont know if ya gotta use special rings with nikasil
just a thought i had
