Jim Burk RIP
« on: March 02, 2014, 12:46:38 pm »
Jim burk passed away last night after having a heart attack at the track. Jim was 44 years old, a very good father to all his kids and was a good husband to his wife Stacy. Jim was also a great racer and was the vice President of the AHLMR. He will be missed by all of us.

Jim was a great guy.   Taken too soon.  He had a great passion for the sport.

Our thoughts are with our friends to the south........

I am proud to have called Jim my friend. He was a great man. I will miss the phone calls and him at the races in Texas. Rest in the peaceful arms of God Jim.

His wife and I talked for a while this afternoon, and he will be buried with his flip-flops and his AHLMR hat on.  For those that knew Jim, those were always his favorite pieces of attire!  I'm glad she's going to do that.
