In June 19th, 2013 I expressed my frustration at finding the correct ring set for my 28ci OHV
The ID tag sez Model: 28N707 Type: 1131-E1, but as Mr. Herron brought out, this is not necessarily good information for ordering rings. Regardless of the model number, this is a AVS motor with a short skirt piston. Top of piston sez 215438 STD L5. Rod is marked as 28-31 & AVS. The following ring sets don,t fit: 495854 & 696403
Someone responded that the model 21 piston was the same as the 28ci piston and uses ring set 698375.
Any new thoughts on this.
