The reason for not allowing Kohler engines was to keep it affordable for all. Kinda hard to put a cap on the extent of the engine build or put restrictions without extensive teching but we can keep the high dollar motors out of it. Someone buy a Kerr type motor and everyone else has to step it up or settle for not having a chance. lets face it not many can make a flat tappet motor run with the full roller kohlers. It keeps a bit of parity in the classes and keeps some of the extreme expenses out of it. This is only for our local club. ANYONE with a Kohler is welcome to race with us even at the AAMC. BUT they wont be allowed to run for points for our club. It was a unanimous vote from our members in attendance at our banquet/meeting.

They must be on the govner must use stock wheel and unmodified. I can check lift on OHV's at rocker to ensure cam is stock. We can pull exhaust and carb in a couple minutes to ensure port work is stock. If we have any doubts what so ever we will do the unexpected. Tear it down. Its more an honor system so to speak at the moment. This first year will be our trail and error period.

I like the tear down rule!! I have been racing snowmobiles for years with this rule in effect, it does help keep racers more honest for sure!

If you don't have a question about the rules.   Or have a comment that doesn't pertain to the rules.     Please don't comment.    That is how these threads get full of junk and become impossible to read.

I cleaned the junk out of this thread as it is a rules thread.    Let's stay on topic!!!

We use a tear down rule and it does seem to work. Last season only one "threat" of a teardown but nothing came of it.

On the seat rule.If your running 16" rear tires you can cut out and drop seat down to 13 inches from ground ,so seat pan would be lower than tops of tires?

Yes, here is the rule:

* Seat pan area may be modified to allow seat lowering. Seat bottom will be no lower than 13” from the
ground. This means seat cutouts are permitted but the area must be closed in so there is no sharp or
protruding areas what so ever!!!

also there are some nice color pics in the rule book...
