do you have one on your mower?

Yeah...Do You...???

 :leaving: :lmfao:

Actually, everyone should have one of these on a modified mower, no matter what kind or style of rideing or racing you do ...

Heck, even the manufactures put them on the stock homeowners models...!!!! There has got to be a reason for that...

Then we go and disconnect all that handy hardware thinking we're indestructable and imortal and don't need simple safety features...

Ain't so...

From as simple as a seat shut off (leave seat>shuts off...DUH...) to a cheap Dennis Kirk $9 pull tether to a nice silicone caped race style for $30 or so we ALL should have some way of shutting down the motor when we leave contact with the mower...

Whether we need to shut the motor down because we laid it on it's side and it's no longer getting lubrication....or we fell off and it's still in gear running 30 mph towards the crowd... when we are not in control...we are not in control!!! and the mower should be shut down...

Get one...

All you have to do is watch one race that someone unloads from their mower and there should be no doubt in your mind why we require them!!!!!!
GET ONE!   AND USE IT

I like the tapered silicone cap shown there, but I don't use the bar clamp...they are also available in the push thru or dash mount design...

The actual "switch" it self are pretty basic and similar...biggest difference i've seen (or look for) is the cap or tether connector...

The cheaper plastic or vinal ones can get stiff and or tear at real "inoppertune" times where the silicone (snowmobile) ones seem a bit sturdier...

..."I used that motto to keep going, keep pushing, keep digging to
find a way around, or through to find a hole, some kind of break that
would allow some space. Once something broke thru, I could be there to
take advantage. Then I would finish 7th instead of 10th." - Dubba G

Wow... all this talk about tethers makes me want to go strangle myself with one   J/k - you can find them at a marine sales shop most anywhere - they use them on jet-skis.  Or go to your neighbor's house when they're not home and take theirs... they'll be surprised when they fall off and it keeps going... or when it flips upside down and the engine keeps running and blows up... see there is a purpose for tethers.  See what can happen without one?
