Fuel Barb replacement on a 12hp Flathead.
« on: November 29, 2013, 08:20:01 pm »
Howdy guys, I got a question as to how people install the fuel line barbs on there carbs.. The stock white nylon ones keep dieing on me and its time for an upgrade. I heard they are pressure fitted in? What size barb would I need to buy? I want to do this myself if possible. Its the stock Walbro that came on 12hp flatheads.

The piece the nylon nipple goes on is pressed into the carb, I always pulled the piece out and drilled it to 1/8" NPT and thread a barb in.  Does leave it thin just be careful not to over tighten!  Never had a problem
