Frame question
« on: October 28, 2013, 02:12:48 pm »
I have about six or eight inches of frame that extends past the front axle can I legally do away with that as it is in the way of my steering arm and from what I seen a lot of people are making custom mounts for the front of there hoods anyways ?
Hope for the best but expect the worst!!

I have 6" past the front of my axle.  My frame is notched for the tie rod

Or add a spacer to lower your tie rod   I know of a couple mowers that did this with success

Not sure If you can see then worth a crap, but here how I did mine. Had to add nylon washers to them to raise up the tie rod to clear the frame. Works great.
