 Got a 31 avs with less than an hour on it bent push rod. going to put piston in my non avs build but was wondering if the heads on these are desireable to run on non avs?

They are basically the same. Use the valves that have split lock keepers, not the slip on style keepers like the earlier valves use.
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

I'm running an AVS head on my non AVS engine and it works fine other than I had to do a little trimming on the lower engine shroud. Like Royalblu said, Make sure you get the billet keepers and if your valves have the slip on keepers you'll need different valves.
