Steel pulleys.
« on: January 28, 2007, 08:12:05 pm »
I am wanting to try out steel pulleys instead of the cheapo ones my hardware store sells. I need a 4" one for a 5/8" shaft. I looked at acmemowersports but its close to 15$ for shipping. Let me know where you guys buy them! I searched the site and didn't find anything..

..."I used that motto to keep going, keep pushing, keep digging to
find a way around, or through to find a hole, some kind of break that
would allow some space. Once something broke thru, I could be there to
take advantage. Then I would finish 7th instead of 10th." - Dubba G

I get the local NAPA to order tractor suppply pullys and hubs. They stock some, but can order them from Tisco. No freight.

I'm  using auto Idlers off of the timing belt and acc. belt.  heavy duty bearings designed to turn rpm and you can get them from a junk yard or scrap yard. there not worth anything to them so there pretty much free to you
