« on: August 18, 2013, 10:26:09 am »
was wondering if this was a good starting point to build my first racer its been sitting in the yard for years also what parts might be good to use from it or what parts do I need to look for and what class would this be a good build for im in the east TN area and I am 25 looking for a new hobby and this seemed like a good time a relatively cheap hobby thank you for any info
Hope for the best but expect the worst!!

did a little more research and found out that it has a peerless 820 transaxle in it and with it being a flat head twin it looks like c/p would be the class I would be building for can any one tell me the difference between a step through frame and a box frame ??
Hope for the best but expect the worst!!

A box frame has a rectangular tunnel under the seat that many refer to as a box, the step through versions have a gap between the steering column and the rear fender.
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!
