basically like the title says me and a few mates have been thinking of starting local pulling meetings when weve built a sled but was wondering if anyones used such a mower to turn into a puller?

Yes, we use to run those type engiines for several years
And they did well if you keep your rules vertical shaft
Only, that would be the way to go because that would keep
The old cub cadets out of your group and the reason
For that is they would start running high proformance
Aftermarket parts from super cub or vogel
That would take the fun out a hurry!
So if that's what you wan t to do make sure them
Rules are black and white before an y thing starts

we have a class - 750 lbs including driver, 18-9.50-8 cut turf tires, 18hp or less briggs twins,
basically stock, ungoverned engines, 12" hitch height- where verticals are competitive.
Move up to 1000 lbs and 12" tires however and they ain't.  Real fun class and not very
expensive to play in.
