John Deere STX 30 Build or not to build?

Thanks for the link.   My chassis has a peerless 920 transaxle.  Is this a good tranny to build or should i look or a 700 ?
I live in west central Minnesota , Granite falls, about 120 miles west of Twin Cities.  nobody around here races, or builds chassis.    Anyone close that I could drop in on and see first hand how to build a chassis?

oldiron, I live in Glyndon, MN and I run a John Deere STX38.

We race at family owned tracks, have about 10 mowers that regularly show up to our events.
