Those have good torque for stock motor. Kohler is very good to pluse they make parts for kohler. Kawaski there aren't many parts specialy for 17hp.

He's the guy to beat right now and his kawasaki is stock with the stock steel flywheel as well.... he wrapped the flywheel cover with the wrap that they use on professional pulling tractors in case it desides to grenade on him to help protect him from injury

Oh upper Michigan I live in the southern part. Ya that kawaski is fast govern but kohler built would beat kawaski,

I have a billet flywheel right now it's just getting the top end to clear up is my problem

U should spank that dude with that flywheel. Um ya your running rich try to find a carb at local small engine repaire shop or on ebay with adjustable jet.

No repair shops around here and not familiar enough with kohler carbs to know what I'm looking for on fleabay.... need assistance LOL

let me check one sec ill look for you.
go to ebay type in Kohler CV490 it will show guine carbs and stuff.

Ok I'll check right now

checked it out but it doesn't say if the high speed is adjustable, just says genuine on them....

Im not really sure on where to find carb I was just pointing you to direction to look burwell would be the best to ask he had kohler. I just was telling you that your running rich.

There was at one point a kohler racing and pulling carb for kohler ohv. Idk if it sold or not it was under race mower.
