« on: June 09, 2013, 07:10:12 pm »
28CI briggs 13.5 has the nikki carb on it and it floods its self continuously. The float is not sticking but it will flood the whole carb and the cylinder with fuel. only thing done to it is cut off safety device tip under the bowl the anti back fire.

Sounds like the orings need replacing inside the carb. the plastic piece that the float attaches to, there is an oring under there.

Check the float closely, maybe it no longer 'floats'. The needle tip can wear down too. It may simply need a slight adjustment to the needle too. The float should be parallel to the base when the needle is fully engaged in the seat. (turn the assembly upside down to check)
