pro x wizard
« on: May 08, 2013, 02:05:46 pm »
hi everyone I am building a wizard to run in the pro x class. reading through the ARMA rules i am mixed up about if i can run a pull start only or do i have to run a battery and a starter. the rules are worded really strange and can be interpreted both ways if anyone knows for sure what the rule is can you let me know? rule reads ( starter and functional battery must be on board, either electric or pull rope in all classes except pro-x).

thanks damien

I dont think you are required to have a starter or battery onboard to run FX, you can use a portable starter, or a jump box.
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

pull start will not work with a billet flywheel.
If you quit when you're behind, you will never win.

pull start will not work with a billet flywheel.

It will on a GX390.

Our basic billet SFI Certified flywheel model for the Honda GX340 and GX390 engines. The keyway is fixed in the stock position and the stock pull starter can be used.
No coil bracket is required, uses the stock coil.  Keep in mind that this is not intended for use with the newer UT3 coils with the built-in 4500 RPM rev-limiter.  You will need one of the previous coil versions that do not have the rev-limiter.
