The no sleeve-nikasil coated aluminum has been run over the past couple of years with no issues.

BMW, Jaguar, The 4.6 Ford engine, radial-engined airplanes, Indy cars...The trick is to use low-sulphur gasoline.  That was the issue with the early BMW and Rotary engines "de-laminating".

We are learning you don't have to go big to build big power.

Yes I do need to get moving on the build of my chassis but planning and saving for our wedding at the end of this month it's been hard to get out in the shop can't wait for the wedding it should turn out nice but I want it to be over with already so I can get back into building the new fxt. And about mwsc I heard a lot of good things about them do I choose them to build it I was just saying I hope it's a good build basically.

So, can you run all small Chevy valvetrain?  Any specifics on mods required?  I don't have any SBC parts laying around anymore but I did see the lifters are the same diameter, .842".

Lifters and rockers. Not sure how much work you'll have to do to rockers. Call and talk to Julian.

I don't feel right asking a guy how to avoid buying his parts if ya know what I mean.

I was hoping this thread would get some more technical discussion going.

What do you consider big power?

Not allowed to say just yet.  Need to run it on the track.

It is impressive real numbers.   Torque curve is not a curve at all.  Flat line!

Small cubes.  Stock crank.

When we get it figured out.    Hang on!!!

Not sure what parts but a full roller.   Again more to come!!!!

Ryan proved you don't need big cubes to win. The motor he ran @ finals and the All American was under 45 cubes.

Like Drew said its been proven look at honda's 23ci beating 28ci motors and 33ci. Its also how you set up your chassi to handle the power.

The internals interchange, but not the block itself.

Just to make sure, a vertical crank will work in a horizontal with no mods?

Does anyone have any circle track cam experience that you will share?  What cam and other mods and how did it perform?  I know this is open to interpretation but, if I get 2 or 3 people saying they tried the same cam with similar experience, then it can help me decide on my first cam to try.

Thanks

Call Midwest or Lakota. I've run 3 diff cams in the kohler singles and twins. Runs awesome no matter what. Ya don't need to turn it hard either.
