I'm not sure who chris is? but I've got another question. would my rear axle setup be illegal in any national rule books?

Nice work.  I assume you are asking about the USLMRA rules.  And unfortunatly there isn't much on you mower that would pass tech.  Way to many frame mods and other rule violations.
Not bashing, just answering your question.
Your work is awesome and you have put alot of thought and time in to that!  You should be able to dial that thing in to any track.

yea thats kind of what I assumed but my intentions were to build it to race at a specific track. half the fun is just building it. my goal was to build something out of that toro that could run with the top guys at our track a big heavy toro chassis is not much match for a modified rugg so I built it word for word from  our rule book. If you can build one that just opens up the door to another down the line. thanks for the props. I'll keep posting pics. you'll probably appreciate the rear fenders I'm building. BTW!!!!

the rear is just as adjustable 2.5" of ride hieght wheelbase even indvidual wb for the circle track shorten one side to help it turn. and track width by 6" to be honest the pic makes rear tires look bigger than they are there 13x6.5x6 on douglas wheels 6"x6.5" they have a 2" back spacing I got them from ts racing they weren't to expensive like 24$ each thanks again for the input

heres a couple more pics since you guys seem to appreciate the toro.I still have to fab the rear trans mts and input shaft brace. I' m also going to make the seat mts so they utilize the top case mts on the trans. I figure I can make that one piece so it removes easily and locks the trans to the chassis. Has anyone done this? or is this overkill it's my first time using one of these peerless boxes. I'd like to here some opinions before I start this saturday thanks

I use a 700 in my SP.  I wouldn't mount the seat to the gear box.  Remember it is just aluminum, and cheep at that!  With your fab skills I'd make a mount that bolts to the sides of the frame rails and unblots easily so the whole back end of the mower comes off as one unit.  Lighter and easy to maintain.  Just to much risk mounting to the tranny in my opinion.  It don't need the extra stress.  What if it blows?  You go for a wild ride!
What ever you name it, it will still be cool!
