Nanco tire
« on: February 04, 2013, 07:41:00 pm »
has anyone ever tried a Nanco Trac gard n766 c/t tire. I found them on tires easy.com. They look just like the turf masters and are also a 4 ply tire. $15.90 a tire. $19.89 shipping on 4 tires.  Whatcha think? GOOD ;) BAD :bash:

I ran them all last season.  Only thing I noticed different than the carlisle is the nanco develop pinhole leaks around the sidewall.  Otherwise, they have been good tires.  Others in our club have developed the same problems.  Just keep up on your pressures and you should have no problems out of them.

Jeff is right, I ran them and never had problems. I prefer them over a turf master any day of the week.

That is them Jeff. They are labeled as Trac Gard but it's indeed Nanco tires.

The particular one's that I used were a 4 ply tire. Not as much tread depth as the carlisle but they were softer :D

Thank you. I will try a set. Anyone tried to mix brands for different grip levels?

As per the USLMRA rules, we are not allowed to mix tread designs.  The tread must remain the same per each axle.  As far as mixing front to rear, no problem.  We do it all the time.

But....if you use a nanco (softer tire) on one side, and a turfmaster (harder tire than nanco) on the other side ( both same tread) then it should be ok.

I suppose it would take some testing to see if it really makes a difference.. If they are cheaper tire I suppose the circumference would be something to really check to for your stagger.

I'm not one to push that button...the treads are not 100% identical, and are easy to see a difference.
