« on: January 15, 2007, 01:43:59 am »
i want to hot rod a lawn mower engine just to say i did. just a push mower engine. so what can i do go gain some power, and make it last through more rpm's? i don't really want to do anything, just feel like building a engine(no money for the car engine right now) anything would be cool. thanks

we will not (i will not) give you any ideas on making a push mower engine run at any higher rpm's over stock. it is unsafe and un needed.

sounds to me like you ment a push mower itself, so im sticking to what i said. if you wish to give me some pictures as proof that its not on a pushmower, and blade it detatched, ill be more than happy to help.

if the engine in question is a briggs, it is VERY unsafe to give it any extra rpms. the cast alluminum fly wheels are known to explode  quite easily at higher rpms.
