will an intake off an ohv fit on a flathead? they look like a longer smoother shot. instead of a sharp corner. i can modify my stock intake in any way at my track so i figured an ohv intake would be great.

I just ran into that problem today. the ohv intake has a bigger bolt pattern to it. so there for no it will not work. or at least mine wouldnt anyway. Also remember longer makes it further for the gas to get to the engine.

You can run the OHV intake on a Flatty but it takes work, have to make an adapter.  If you have the means to make an adapter the OHV intake will flow better than the Flatty intake.  There are some topics on here about it I believe, search and see

Check the rules of whatever orginization you are running with, Our rules say must look stock on outside, that lets a OHV intake on a flattie out.

I agree if its suppose to appear stock it wouldnt be legal. Seems like Ive read on here that you could slot the bolt holes. I've never tried so I'm not sure.

I always used the aluminum ohv intake on my flathead just transfer the holes with a flathead gasket and counterbore the holes. I ran it in U.S. With no leagal problems its a briggs part # just like the nipp starter that don't come on a flathead.it has some ups and down on differnt track but I awlays got more good with the ohv intake.
