drag mower or circle track mower??? help decide please
« on: December 03, 2012, 05:47:40 pm »
My buddy and I are in the slow process of building racing mowers but are not sure whether we should build drag mowers or roundy round mowers.... don't have much money either so cheaper is better in my case also that and I think the drag mowers would allow more for the things I know how to do mechanical wise... any and all input and info good or bad is greatly appreciated... thanks for looking guys and gals

Go in circles, more people do it and there are more races to attend.
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

royalblu68f100 is right.

You know, I used to drag race, and thought that was all there needed to be.  Boy was I wrong.  The whole "turn left" thing is new, but I get lots more enjoyment.  Great people, great events, you name it.

This site is here to address the confusion.  What are you having an issue with?

Like some of the rules on axles they say I must run a transaxle then they say I can run a transmission... id prefer to run a transmission because I know how to set them up the transaxles I know nothing about...

What class are you interested in running, or what group maybe we can start there?

You can use the transmission, download the USLMRA rules and get to know them. Most classes in US use the same basic chassis rules.  If it is US legal it will most likely be legal anywhere.
