15.5hp carb issue

i am beridding the stock wire harness on one of my lt1000s and making it more simpler but i go a problem i found out why this motor wouldnt run right my anti after fire thing (i forgot what its called) has a wire going to it and its half cut can i just take this out of my carb and replace it with something or does it have to stay for it to run right or can i bypass and just let i be

There is a few options you can try.  You could replace it with a plug if you can find one that fits properly.  You could cut the end of the plunger off but then your engine may backfire when you shut it off (I've done this to the ones on Briggs engines).  Your last option I can think of is hooking it up as it was from factory.  If I remember right it runs off of 12v switched power.  Turn the key on and the plunger drops, shut the key off and it raises but it must be grounded to test the operation.

Nope, that's why I said you could cut the plunger so it acted like it was down.  There is a set if windings where the single wire goes in the fuel shut off that acts like a magnet when you power it with 12v causing the plunger to be pulled down.
