building a kohler twin

For right now,i,m going to use a kohler 17 twin modiflying the chassis and sheetmetal setup,motor was free,thinking about using it later on,what should i know about this kohler.

If its a 17 sounds like its the opposed twin.

In a stock class, sure. Idk that anyone makes parts for it if you're wanting to modify it.

What I was referring to is a governor class will be fine. If he is running an open rpm class he will struggle as in no performance parts. This just comes from 20 years of garden tractor pulling experience. No offense intended by the tone of this post, just not sure how to word it.

Hate to say it but ohvs make far more torque and hp than any flathead ive seen... stock wise that is... even performance wise anything with ohvs makes more power and torque. But i agree with drew jmo after 20 years of pulling experiance...
