Kansas mower tracks
« on: September 18, 2012, 09:25:05 pm »
What tracks are somewhat close to Hutchinson and has a race coming up.  I would like to be able to watch the races and be able to look over a mower.
The day doesn't end till the mission is complete.

I have talked to rooster, was just wandering if anyone else knew.

I have watched many video's and just the challenge looks to be a blast.

we used to have a local chapter up here, about 2 1/2 north of you. but due to lack of interest we decided to call it quits, maybe in the future we can do something again, some of the new goverened classes might bring some interest such as mod-xr, little cheaper to build, just have to see!

That would be kool to happen.  My wife's aunt and her husband own 40 acres of land just outside of McPerson and it has been a thought to ask them if it would be ok with them to set a race out there on the land.  But this land is farming land but i dont think they would miss 5 - 10 acres for racing.

thats exactly what we did up here, it was alot of work to run a track and a club, me and my partner in crime did it, sure miss the good times we had, but dont miss the responsibility of keeping the track up and all the racers happy.... ;)

Might be a couple in Caney before too long, but I don't have details at the moment.  I'll keep bugging flyingbranch to get more info.  Sorry for not being more definitive.

We are have a couple of races around Emporia this year. We are just starting out and trying to get people into the sport so our rules are simple but they are about safety. Plus how our tracks are we don't really have anything for the upper classes. Now if we get bigger we will adopt the USLMRA rules.

Marshall MO (Saline Co Fair) Saturday Night July 13th, 2013. It was a great time last year and we’re doing it again. There will be Iowa, Kansas and Missouri racers there and anyone else who can make the trip.

If you ever make the mistake of racing with these guys one time, you will want to go back.
I try really hard to come all the way from Texas, to race with them atleast once a year.
Some of my best racing buddies are in that club. I have been covered up with work from my new job,
but I try to talk to one of them on the phone everyday..... and that is no joke. Do I sound
a little biased?, yeah I do, good folks to race with. talk with, hang with.... drink coffee with before
race morning. Bring Shiner.
