Topic: rim size for hoosiers

Im going to run hoosiers on my super mod
Front 11x5.5x6 what rim size ?
Rear  12x9x6 what rim size ?

Chuck, i am going to use a 6x6 beadlock on my fronts, same as your tires....just what i have, so im using them. i would say a 10" rear for the 12x9 rear tires, but i know i have Jakes 12x9 hoosiers on a 9" rim, and they look and feel fine.

Recommendations by manufacturer is 1" wider than rear tire and same size as fronts. BUT thats recommendations, we have run em on 10, 9, and 8.25 rears. We run the fronts on jaKES on 7's and on mine on 8.25's. its all a preferance and what you looking for.

So i would do 6 wide for front and 10 wide for resr and be good to go. Thanks guys.

That will work just fine. Personally if you have to buy front rims I would at least put them on 6.5 gives it a bit more tread on the ground. But yup 6 will work just fine.

The fronts fit nice on a 7.25" wheel also.
