Seat for super mod

In the super mod class do you have to have a cart seat or can you build one? Thanks

A local fellow used a Kirkey aluminum race car seat.
You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race!  Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one!  Chassis too!  But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster!  I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

I was thinkin like with nascar cars and trucks they build/modified seat to fit the driver so why do it for a super. Thanks for the info

If you are going to make one I would recommend keeping it flush with the rear fenders and pad it well. You don't want a rigid 350lb aluminum seat edge digging into you in the event of a roll over. The plastic seats have a lot more give to them, even under a hard rear impact they will cushen the blow a little.

A LOT easier to find a seat to fit you than one for me at 250lbs.  You can add padding to yours, I can't stretch mine because the padding is already there  .... :oops:
