I cook with these things at least once a month .I prefer cooking with coca cola but dr. pepper or beer will work . Each kind of soda or beer will give a different taste.

I'm going t guess anything sugary ( Ber, soda and whatnot) is good because all it does is caramelize as it cooks. Honestly, I look hamburgers a lot more anyway. I like the ones that are really fatty and flame up.

So if you did this with a can of redbull would it give the cooked chicken new wings and give it a whole new meaning to fast food?

only if you try to stuff your bird also....lol. Bud, just be sure to drink some of the beverage from the can before you start, and it should be fine. if you are still worried about a mess, place the whole set-up in a drip pan, or put the drip pan under it. :D

I prefer my method.

#1-Send wife to grocery store.
#2-Open fresh cold beer wife purchased at the grocery.
#3-Sit and watch Tv while wife grumbles about cooking the chicken.
#4-have another beer
#5-wait for chicken to be finished, have another beer.
#6-Beer is almost gone, chicken better be done soon.
#7-Eat chicken
#8-Finish the rest of the beer while wife does dishes
#9-Send wife back for more beer, because she did not provide an ample supply the first time. Her fault, hence she goes to get more.

I sleep to sound to do that!!!

Something I wonder about is that those cans have a plastic coating inside. What happens if that stuff melts off while you're cooking? Oh boy! I just love the smell of plastic chicken.

Like any engine it needs more holes!  Well I put more holes in top of can. can should be about half full of your choice of beverage. What ever rub, or flavor you go with on or in your chicken add some to the can this will add flavor also. Apples and oranges are a good idea just dont put hole apple on top of can that might send chicken flying, might still tast good if you could find it..  Most of alll enjoy best chicken ever!

I don't eat any animal that eats its own poo. Kinda leaves me with beef and pork, and various sweet breads, Clarice.

Bert
Gary Busey and Rick James both used to live in my shop. Redline stole them.
