12.5 Command - Removing Govenor - Too or Not Too?
« on: June 21, 2012, 10:18:53 am »
Is there any benefit on removing Govenor on my 12.5 or not?  I race at local (non sanctioned racing) events with my JD STX38 mower I built.  Just looking for any more (CHEAP) bumps to help it go faster.

the hydraulic lifters wont support higher rpm....stock around 5000 rpm max.  internals may not hold up much more than that either, depending on the condition of parts.
If you quit when you're behind, you will never win.
