Ok....what's the trick?
I used a rachet strap and I can almost get it to set but only half will go up on the bead and I can't get the other side to pop up there. I've tried soapy water which in the past has worked when putting mower tires on and I even hit it with silicone spray because that's rubber friendly. Still no dice. Is there a trick I'm missing to get the 2nd side to pop up over the shoulder? I haven't really put a ton of pressure in the tire because I don't want to pop it but I've had 30-34psi in it and it still won't pop over the shoulder.

I use a wider piece of aluminum to wrap around the tire, then ratchet it down and they magically pop out (with enough psi).

You never win a race by focusing on one aspect of the race! Motor isn't everything, but you better have a good one! Chassis too! But remember, a driver can take a slow machine and make it faster! I may not have/be the best of any of these but I'm trying!

break it all the way down and use straight dish soap on the whole bead. Be sure valve gut is removed. The faster you can get air into the tire the better. I use just the air coupler.

HIGH PREASURE AIR CANNON. 150 PSI RELEASED VERY QUICKLY. BLOWS IT UP ON THE BEEDS.

thanks for all the tips guys......I'll give it another shot. Never had any trouble on the few regular mower tires I've done....must be the wider rims I guess?? The one side seated up just fine but this other one has made me string together cuss words that I don't think I've ever strung together before.

Before I started useing tubes, I had the same problem, check the rim to be sure there are no scratches where the bead slides out. I also sometimes just had to leave them not complety seated, after a few races they came on out.
