removing kaw fc420v pan
« on: May 01, 2012, 08:33:51 pm »
After removing all the pan bolts and the case won't separate. It's about 1/16 apart but I don't want to smack it too much harder without finding out what could be in the way. Any tips?

Try to turn crank a little and see if it frees up.

Probably just a little rust right underneith the bottom sealpreventing free sliding of the pan off the crank... little sand paper or emery cloth will have it right apart you will just have to pull the seal out first
There's somethin' in the works...

Thanks for the responses. A little rust on the shaft is all it was.
