Jim if he has his own shop and gets material cheap enough or has it left over its nothing but time involved. Maybe he doesnt save money but you gotta admit being able to spin up your own parts is pretty cool.

Some European countries really tax the heck out of stuff coming in from the US!
I recently shipped a tractor to Norway, the guy ended up paying $200 in different import fees and taxes, and I gave him the tractor!
Bert stole my cookies!!
I think he used them to bribe Ed into something naughty?

I would say the vanny as thats whats in the first pictures.
I was on my lap top and didn't see the first pics they take to long to load using a sprint card
seems like allot of machine time and labor to get a flywheel that is made for that engine already.
I made mine from a drop at a local aluminum wholesaler 9" dia 3.5 thick $30.00
I have a lathe and a bridge port. I'm still working on it but I got way more time than money
and I like building everything if I can

was that billet aluminum or what alloy? around here a chunk of billet aluminum that size wouldnt be that cheap, if you could even find a "drop" that size. there is alot of stuff i would do myself if i had the machine to do it, but i still think this is one thing i would buy. :D

It is Billet. That price may not be available to everyone they are a regular customer of mine and I may have got a discounted price. But the drops are way cheeper than cuts. I paid just over scrap price for it.
Ok enough I don't want to hijack this thread   ;)

a word of advice. I have shattered those plastic fans at rpms above 6500 back in the day before billet wheels were available.
