Question about deck mounting

From what I've seen on some pics, it looks like the deck is cut up and just the ends of the deck are mounted to the bottom of the running boards. Is this legal???  :confused: :confused:   thanks for any input in advance!!!

yep, perectly legal, i had the same question then i was looking at georges build.
